Canned Smoked Salmon Croquettes
INGREDIENTS
- 14 ounces canned salmon, Smoked Sockeye Salmon Canned or Smoked Coho Salmon Canned
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup green onion, finely minced
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay (or omit and add another 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt)
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- black pepper
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- Olive oil
- Tartar sauce
Canned Smoked Salmon Croquettes

Cook time: 10 minutes
INSTRUCTIONS
- Open canned smoked salmon and drain. Use Smoked Sockeye Salmon Canned or Smoked Coho Salmon Canned.
- Put salmon in a large mixing bowl. Gently flake with a fork.
- Add egg, green onion, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, chopped parsley, Old Bay, garlic powder, salt, pepper and breadcrumbs to bowl with salmon.
- Mix the ingredients until a dough forms.
- Add several spoonfuls of breadcrumbs to a plate.
- Shape the salmon mixture into 10 ovals or patties.
- Roll the salmon croquettes/patties in additional breadcrumbs on the plate.
- Add enough olive oil to coat the bottom of a large skillet. Heat over medium.
- Place croquettes into skillet in batches, about 1 inch apart.
- Fry until golden, about 2 minutes per side.
- You may need to replace oil as breadcrumbs are released and will burn to the pan.
- Enjoy and serve with a side of tartar sauce.
